We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Reporting to join our P&C Insurance client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, a deep understanding of insurance industry regulations, and a proven track record of leading teams to deliver accurate and timely financial reports.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of reporting professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and development.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance industry, ensuring the company's reporting practices remain compliant.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the group reporting processes, implementing best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and regulators, to provide insights into financial performance and ensure transparency in reporting.
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making processes and provide insights into the company's financial performance.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to financial reporting, ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial information.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or CPA qualification preferred.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting within the insurance industry, with a deep understanding of insurance accounting principles and regulations.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced knowledge of financial reporting software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of IFRS 17, GAAP, SAP and other relevant accounting standards.
