One of America's largest commercial lines property casualty insurance providers is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their diverse team of professionals. The parent company is a Fortune 500 company that is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and is part of the S&P 500. Due to the growth they're experiencing, they've created a new position that will report directly to the CFO. Job Responsibilities:
- Post manual journals in GL including GAAP Adjustment (once agreed with relevant FP&A BP)
- Manual upload of external files in a standard SAP journal template
- Run batch jobs to pass external system data into the GL
- Execute accruals / deferrals / reversal
- Calculate and record inter-company payments and loans
- Run Inter-company reconciliations once recharges are processed
- Post pre close adjustment entry
- Assist in managing and reviewing GL Account Master Data
- Run reporting as required (e.g. TBs / extracts for Tax team)
- Manages the extraction and upload of necessary journal files from Clearwater to SAP One GL
- Works with the Sub Ledger Processing and Treasury teams to share cash positions with Clearwater for Investment reporting
- Carries out Investment Asset reconciliations in One GL
- Record expenses, accruals, and other bespoke adjustments based on input from Actuarial, FP&A, and other business partners
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 6+ Years of experience
- Full knowledge of the Accounting Cycle
- Excel Proficient
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members
