Do you love working in the world of P&C insurance? As a Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in revolutionizing how to protect clients' assets. My client's looking for a Guidewire Developer who enjoys crafting innovative solutions that streamline processes, enhance customer experiences, and help them shape the future of insurance

Position Summary:

  • Translates and develops requirements into software solutions.
  • Maintains and develops programs for business and IT automation.
  • Designs software using accepted methodologies for moderate-risk projects.
  • Focuses on Open Systems, Mainframe, and Application Configuration disciplines.

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Plans, designs, develops, and maintains Guidewire claims applications.
  • Demonstrates ability in solution design, coding, code reviews, and demos.
  • Works within Agile methodology, ensuring quality solutions with minimal risk.
  • Implements n-tier web applications using Java-based technologies.
  • Collaborates with peers to deliver quality solutions.

Requirements:

  • Requires 3+ years of experience in Java-based technologies.
  • Proficiency in building enterprise software systems and web UI.
  • Strong skills in writing unit tests and working within Agile methodology.
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.

Preferences:

  • 1-2 Years of Guidewire Insurance Suite development experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Services (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus.
  • Oracle Certified Associate is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements development standards and basic code/config changes.
  • Develops program logic for new applications or modifies existing logic.
  • Presents unit tests and contributes to end products.
  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements, and maintains software applications.
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders and may mentor/train others.
