I am supporting a leading (re)insurer in their search for three Catastrophe Modelling Analysts. Each of these hires will sit within a different class. London - Hybrid

The classes are as follows...

Property, Delegated Authority & Marine

The successful individual will have the opportunity to work on challenging problems in a collaborative team, whilst developing their own knowledge and experience.

A stimulating environment where you will be using sophisticated modelling and analytics, as well as your expertise in natural and man-made hazards, exposure, and financial terms to partner with underwriters and other stakeholders on business decisions. Outputs from the teams are fundamental to determining prices, fulfilling capital requirements, and setting risk appetites.

For these particular roles my client are looking for an individual with:

  • A solid grounding in catastrophe modelling, ideally 3-7 years experience
  • Experience with RMS or AIR would be beneficial
  • Experience in modelling Direct Property and Delegated Authority business is again, ideal
  • Coding experience in SQL & PowerBI highly desirable, and skills in R and Python would be useful
  • Good understanding of insurance terms and conditions
  • Ability to convey complex modelling concepts to non-modellers
  • Good communicator who is able to interact with underwriters
  • Teamwork and relationship building skills

If you want to know more about these three roles, please get in touch.
