Our client, a prominent company in the Insurance industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VBC Senior Manager to join their Actuarial department on a permanent basis. Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Health Insurance Reserving Forecasting activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor and assess the Health Insurance Reserving processes, making recommendations for improvements as necessary
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies and models for enhanced Health Insurance Reserving practices
  • Provide expert guidance and support in determining appropriate reserves for health insurance products
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to Health Insurance Reserving
  • Prepare reports and presentations on Health Insurance Reserving forecasts and analysis to present to stakeholders and senior management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Supervise and mentor a team of professionals, fostering their growth and development

Key Skills

  • Extensive experience in Health Insurance Reserving within the insurance industry specifically within the Value Base Care space
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting techniques and methodologies
  • Proficiency in utilizing actuarial software and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy


  • ASA or FSA
  • Experience with SQL and Excel
  • Preferred experience with SAS and python
