Oliver James have partnered with a leading Government Body who are currently undergoing a significant transformation within its Software Development team and are seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to come on board and participate in various projects within this function.

The right person will be an experienced UX/UI Designer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and will be responsible for the UX research and design across several new services being introduced by the enterprise. The successful candidate will work closely with a high-performing, cross-functional team of business analysts, developers, and quality assurance specialists to understand the needs of users and deliver a design that meets their business needs. They will have a good understanding of development cycles, methodologies, and processes, can identify design issues and methodically work to their resolution.

Core aspects of this role:


> Rolling 6 month contract engagement (up to 3 years).

> Very flexible hybrid model (predominately remote - must be available on site as project requires)

Desired Skills and Experience

> Be able to design graphic user interface elements, menus, tabs, widgets, page navigation, search fields, etc.

> Be able to illustrate design ideas using wireframes, storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.

> Be able to develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.

> Be able to conduct adjustments based on user feedback.

> Setting and achieving goals.

> Be up-to-date with best practices in UI design.

> Relevant sector/enterprise experience.
