About the Role
A leading financial services provider is seeking a Senior Data Quality Officer to join their Data Governance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high data quality standards, regulatory compliance (including BCBS 239), and the continuous improvement of the company's data governance framework.
Responsibilities
🔹 Data Quality Strategy & Governance
Define and implement data quality policies, standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to capture data quality requirements.
Monitor compliance with regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239.
Lead data quality audits and produce reports for senior management.
Drive the continuous enhancement of governance processes.
🔹 Data Quality Monitoring & Remediation
Design KPIs and dashboards to track data quality metrics.
Perform root cause analysis of data issues and oversee remediation plans.
Establish data controls and validation mechanisms to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to promote data reliability across the organization.
Profile
Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or a related field within financial services.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data management (e.g., BCBS 239).
Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex data flows.
Experience with data quality tools and reporting platforms.
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills in English; French or Dutch is an asset.
