Client in the Insurance Industry is looking for a Software Engineer to join the core Applications Team. They're working on modernizing their portfolio of applications and move into Cloud Technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement software and applications (front end & back end).
- Manage assigned workload including individual projects, assigned activities on larger projects and enhancement/support tickets.
- Develop / enhance client facing and internal applications.
- Participate and/or manage sprints.
- Apply innovative modern technologies to improve the technology platform.
- Support, troubleshoot and maintain software applications.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Work with business users to clarify and understand requirements.
- Develop and maintain documentation.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of strong experience in Software Development
- Expertise with C#, .Net, ASP.NET MVC, .Net Core, SQL
- Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases ( preferably SQL)
Desired Skills:
- Azure / Cloud experience a plus.
- Knowledge of Frontend Development using Angular Framework
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
- Prior experience in Financial Services or Insurance Desired
