I'm recruiting for a Senior Accountant for a Statutory Accounting Close and Controls team. The role involves completing the monthly financial close and producing financial reports for executive and regulatory audiences, working on-site in Amelia, OH 2-3 days a week. This role will also collaborate with FP&A, capital management and data governance teams to ensure accurate and timely statutory filings.
The Senior Statutory Accountant will be responsible for preparing more complex accounting journal entries, reconciling financial results, developing analytics, assisting with capital management, and leading the accounting close process.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 or more years of accounting experience (insurance statutory accounting experience preferred)
- CPA Certification Required
- Skilled in Microsoft Office suite and basic query tools
- Public Accounting experience or large corporate accounting experience is a plus
- Preparation of more complex accounting journal entries
- Reconciliation of financial results
- Development of analytics
- Assistance with capital management
