Leading Digital Asset firm is looking for an experienced project manager who has strong experience working in Agile.
Job Scope
The Project Manager's role is to plan, oversee and manage strategic initiatives to ensure results are delivered. This requires prioritizing business, marketing, operation, product and tech development resources. Communication is key for successful project managers to engage a fast moving organization to meet market demands while aligning organizational goals, preparation of budgets and keeping executive stakeholders informed the entire way.
Responsibilities
- Translate generalized business goals and objectives into concrete strategy and tacticalplans
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks, and issues, and makes recommendations on project decisions to sponsors and executives.
- Work effectively with internal and external clients, third parties and executives in accomplishing strategic objectives
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed to provide deliverables
- Work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors to achieve best results
- Measure project performance to identify areas for process improvement
- Use agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver
outcomes - Train, mentor, and support business and technology resources to follow agile values, principles, and practices, at a pace that is comfortable to the immediate team and organization
- Support Business Owner on prioritization and uplifting quality of product backlog
Requirement
- In-depth knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as good working knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
- Proven experience in implementing agile structure in organizations
- 5+ years of IT and business experience in strategic planning, development, implementation and maintenance of big data and devops platforms
- 5+ years of project management and related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience required
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Project Management certificate (PMP) and Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) (Preferred)
- Proven ability to work with ambiguity and solve problems creatively
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
- Familiar with Jira, Asana, Salesforce, Slack platforms
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Understanding of Blockchain, trading platforms, prime brokerage, SaaS, compliance,
straight through processing will be a plus
