Oliver James are currently partnering with an exciting Reinsurer who are seeking a skilled Reserving Actuary to join their experienced and motivated Life Reinsurance Function. Whilst supporting on an international portfolio, you will regularly liaise with senior management and the wider reinsurance unit.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the IFRS17 analysis for group-consolidation
- Life Reserving in accordance with Local GAAP
- Prepare and support the quarterly life reserving
- Supporting the wider Reinsurance function across global Life projects
Experience
- 5+ years Life (Re)insurance experience - preferably in Reserving
- Strong knowledge of IFRS17, SII and Local GAAP
- Relevant University Degree alongside being a Fellow of an Actuarial Association
- Strong written and verbal communication in English, with an additional European language being an advantage

- Provide strategic insights and consultation to enhance policy reserve accuracy.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in reserving procedures and standards according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy in calculations and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills, capable of effectively collaborating at multiple levels in the organization.
- Adept in statistical analysis software and actuarial databases specific to life insurance reserving.
Note: Due to the specialized nature of the role, candidates with prior experience in Actuarial roles within the Insurance industry will be preferred.
