Our client, a globally recognised financial services firm, is looking to grow out their Bay Area footprint. They are currently hiring for an experienced accountant or public auditor with knowledge of the Private Equity industry for a Senior Fund Accountant role. At this moment, the firm is one of the world's leaders in alternative fund administration and have over $30 trillion in assets under administration. Responsibilities

  • Prepare work-papers for Private Equity and Venture Capital clientele
  • Prepare management fee calculations, including offset amounts and waiver contributions
  • Assist with the preparation of capital call and distribution calculations, notices, and allocations
  • Update carried interest/waterfall models
  • Prepare quarterly and yearly financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Assist with year-end process with senior management and external stakeholders
  • Work directly with clients to handle, resolve, and respond to requests
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff where applicable

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field
  • 2+ years' experience within accounting, public auditing, or investment finance
  • Experience with preparing and reviewing financial statements and general ledgers
  • Proven knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong soft skills including communication, presentation, attention to detail, team-work, and ability to work autonomously
  • Strong analytical skills including experience in building complex financial models and further presenting them to stakeholders
  • Positive, self-starter attitude
