We have an exciting opportunity available with our client, a leading e-commerce platform in Switzerland. They are currently seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Zurich. With years of success in Switzerland, they are now expanding their presence in the wider European and Global market. This role will be part of a project to build their new data platform, migrating from on-premise onto cloud.
Position: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Zurich
Working Arrangement: Hybrid/Flexible
Requirements:
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI, as well as ETL/ELT tools.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, including MS Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Experience in data modeling.
- Proficiency in Python/R and SQL
- Fluency in both German and English
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the Data Lake domain, automating data analysis pipelines
- Collaborate closely with digital analysts to maintain and enhance data pipelines
- Translate complex data into easily understandable information
- Act as an internal consultant for any data science and statistical inquiries
- Work closely and collaboratively within a cross-functional team
