Oliver James are mandated by their tier-one global consulting client to assist on a high-profile team build of cyber security professionals with deep experience of UK government & public sector experience. As part of this, our client is keen to speak to Senior Consultant-level candidates. The base location within the UK can be flexible (remote to begin with), but with a likelihood of both internal and external responsibilities gravitating to London intermittently.

As part of this, our client is keen to speak to Senior Consultant-level candidates. The base location within the UK can be flexible (remote to begin with), but with a likelihood of both internal and external responsibilities gravitating to London intermittently. The role will pay a basic of c£50-55,000 excluding bonuses, pension, flexible extras.

As a Senior Consultant, you will already have both a grounding in cyber security & information risk essentials - with also an appreciation of the commercial challenges, benefits and make-up of a CISO office / security function.

You will mostly be responsible for taking on delivery accountability for large scale cyber security programmes - where you will be guided and mentored by a Partner or Director.

You will be able to demonstrate

  • A clear understanding and track record cyber security / information risk.
  • A grounding (c2-5 years) that demonstrates this understanding.
  • Proven knowledge and experience of delivering one of more of the following areas: cyber strategy & transformation, security technology change, security operations, Identity and Access Management (IDAM), resilience & testing or cyber incident Response.
  • Proven ability in taking appropriate action after monitoring/reviewing the progress and performance of others
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), negotiation and project management skills.
  • Ability to interact with organisations at a senior levels.
