Senior Compliance Analyst (Sanctions)


Our esteemed client, a leader in the Insurance industry, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compliance Analyst specializing in sanctions within their Compliance department. Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations into potential sanctions violations and ensure compliance with all relevant international sanctions laws and regulations.
  • Develop and enhance policies and procedures to prevent, detect, and mitigate sanction-related activities across the business.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports to senior management, highlighting potential areas of risk and recommending solutions to enhance compliance strategies.
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff to raise awareness and understanding of sanction policies and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, sanctions laws, and regulatory changes, advising the firm on compliance matters accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal and operations, to ensure cohesive risk management and regulatory practices.

Key Skills

  • Expertise in financial crime prevention, specifically relating to sanctions compliance within the Insurance, preferably London Market
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and enforce policies effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of educating and influencing both team members and management.
  • Proven track record of developing compliance strategies and implementing procedures that reduce the risk of sanctions violations.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
