Our client, a global alternatives-focused financial services firm, is looking to grow out their NYC footprint as their business continues to grow. They are in the market for a strong Senior Associate to focus on primarily PE/RE fund accounting. The role will have you join a tight knit team and culture where you will work closely with every member of the team, including senior leadership. Main responsibilities in this role will include NAV + workpaper review, capital activity, financial reporting, investor reporting, along with managing external and internal stakeholder relationships.
Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare workpapers for Private Equity and Venture Capital clientele
- Prepare management fee calculations, including offset amounts and waiver contributions
- Assist with the preparation of capital call and distribution calculations, notices, and allocations
- Update carried interest/waterfall models
- Prepare quarterly and yearly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Assist with year-end process with senior management and external stakeholders
- Work directly with clients to handle, resolve, and respond to requests
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff where applicable
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 2+ years' experience in alternative investment accounting, with a particular emphasis on closed-ended fund structures
- Strong Excel skills, experience with Advent Geneva a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive, self-starter attitude
