The Scrum Master / Agile Coach is an Agile practitioner responsible for leading a delivery team to the successful delivery of assigned mission. The Scrum Master / Agile Coach is responsible for ensuring the team lives agile values and principles and follows the processes and practices that the team agreed they would use.
- Agile practitioner with the ability to apply this methodology in new, non-traditional ways
- Experience leading delivery teams through the Agile delivery process
What you will do:
- Plan and facilitate projects when required.
- Lead and mentor the team in an agile manner through empowerment and support.
- Align closely with the Digital Products System Owner, Product Owner(s) and key stakeholder(s) to ensure the Product Backlog is prioritized, maintained, and appropriately aligned with the overall goals and vision of the Squad and business unit.
- Work closely with Underwriting, Actuarial, Product Development and IT to identify work packages and break down epics into actionable and deliverable units of work.
- Manage customer expectations through direct communication and a willingness to challenge with a focus on increasing product value and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to projects where needed, including analysis, testing, and documentation.
- Drive, follow and enforce Agile Practices.
- Lead and facilitate team meetings; e.g., daily stand ups, sprint planning, sprint review, backlog grooming, monthly team meetings and retrospectives.
- Remove any impediments that obstruct the team's pursuit of delivery.
- Work continuously to improve all aspects of the team.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters within the Digital Strategy Group to ensure consistent delivery, transparency and alignment within Commercial Lines.
- Manage production support on a daily basis with the team (break fix and enhancements) when required.
