Project Manager - Retail projects - MNC

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in the retail industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a versatile leader capable of managing a wide range of projects across various departments within the retail sector. From store renovations and technology implementations to marketing campaigns and supply chain optimizations, the Generalist Project Manager will play a pivotal role in driving success and innovation within our organization.


1. Lead end-to-end project management efforts, from initiation to closure, for a diverse range of retail projects.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
3. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
4. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
5. Coordinate resources, both internal and external, to ensure timely project execution and delivery.
6. Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders.
7. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within project teams.
8. Act as a liaison between stakeholders, facilitating communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
9. Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement best practices for future projects.
10. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management and retail operations.


1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the retail industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
3. Strong understanding of retail operations, including store management, merchandising, inventory management, and customer experience.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
5. Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
6. Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello.
7. Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Demonstrated ability to drive results and lead teams in a matrixed organization.

*Preferred Qualifications:*

1. Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
2. Knowledge of retail-specific software systems, such as POS systems, ERP systems, and inventory management software.
3. Previous experience working with third-party vendors and suppliers in the retail industry.
4. Familiarity with retail industry regulations and compliance standards.
