Oracle Consultant - Functional - in-house FSI



As an Oracle Finance Business Analyst/Functional Consultant, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between finance business requirements and technical implementation. You will collaborate closely with finance business users to define and document their needs, ensuring successful translation into technical solutions. This role reports to the Finance Business Analyst Lead (Functional).

*Job Description:*

- Gather, analyze, and document finance business needs to create comprehensive Business Requirement/Functional Specification documents for technical teams, with a focus on Oracle ERP solutions.
- Differentiate global requirements from local business unit needs and ensure clarity in documentation.
- Facilitate clarification sessions between finance and technical teams as necessary to ensure alignment.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure delivery outputs meet business requirements, particularly in the Oracle ERP domain.
- Develop robust test plans for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in collaboration with the testing team.
- Track and promptly resolve defects identified during testing, maintaining thorough testing logs and adherence to testing cadence.
- Continuously update global requirement documents to reflect evolving business needs.
- Analyze problems and provide recommendations for solutions, with a focus on Oracle ERP processes.
- Map finance business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide support for ad hoc tasks as assigned.

*Skills & Knowledge:*

- Strong understanding of ERP solutions, preferably Oracle, in the finance domain.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Personal traits: Meticulous, independent, accountable, collaborative (team player), proactive, with a can-do attitude.
- Comfortable working effectively in a hybrid working environment.
- Advantageous to have training in process improvement methodologies.

*Education and Experience:*

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance and Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience using ERP solutions in the finance domain, with a preference for experience with Oracle Cloud Financials.
- Experience in ERP solution implementation in the finance domain, particularly with Oracle, is preferred.
- Previous experience as a business analyst is advantageous.
- Experience with process improvement projects is a plus.
- Experience in the insurance industry is advantageous.
