Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Senior Level DevOps Engineer to join our client's dynamic IT team. This role is essential in spearheading their end-to-end DevOps transformation across multiple cloud platforms. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient solutions that enhance our operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and growth of the infrastructure.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient code integration and deployment processes across multiple projects.
- Utilise various cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure optimal application deployment and management.
- Collaborate with development teams to automate and streamline operations and processes.
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the dev, test, and production environments.
- Enhance system performance, including continuous evaluation and analysis of system bottlenecks.
- Ensure critical system security through best practices in cloud security solutions.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior DevOps team members.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 4 years of enterprise experience in a DevOps role.
- Proficient with tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, or an equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of at least one of the following cloud services: AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services.
- Strong experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, as is scripting skills).
- A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl, and/or Ruby).
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
