- To handle all aspects of a marine or cargo claim from receipt of first advice to settlement.
- Appointing surveyors, corresponding with insured/claimant/insurer/third party experts.
- Requesting for and analysing claim documentation.
- Providing coverage opinions to Principal.
- Attending meetings with agents, brokers or Insured's to resolve claims and claim disputes.
- To carry out duties in accordance with the Company's Claims Procedures.
- Ability to prioritise and handle a high volume of claims.
- Committed and highly motivated individuals
- Preferably a degree holder from a recognised University and ACII or AII qualified
- At least 2 - 5 years experience in marine, marine cargo claims or recovery
- Possess strong analytical, communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Exercise sound judgement, display initiative and innovation on the job.
- Team player, positive attitude, Able to work alone and as part of a team.
