Our IT Operations are responsible for the critical IT infrastructure and ancillary services that our employees and clients rely on. This includes cost-effective hardware, system software, middleware, databases, data centres, voice and data networks, ATMs, desktops, and other devices.

This segment consists of five functions: Customer Services, Enterprise Services and Architecture, Service Management, Relationship Management, Project Management, and Risk and Administration. Together, these areas delineate and deliver our technology strategy to support the Group's objectives.

We are presently recruiting a highly competent individual to become part of our team as a Major Incident Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and propel the delivery and support of systems/services in accordance with Group IT service quality standards through incident management processes
  • Direct and recover IT-delivered services from a disrupted state as swiftly as possible
  • Relay recovery progress and impact status to stakeholders
  • Assist in the implementation of service quality policies, standards, tools, and measures
  • Uphold internal control standards, implement and adhere to Group Compliance Policy
  • Foster operational risk awareness and minimize its occurrence
  • Provide daily support and control in specific incident management roles
  • Advocate and propel continuous improvement in incident management processes
  • Operate on a 24x7 shift rotation


Required Qualifications

  • Exceptional written communication skills, capable of explaining technical details in language understandable to a broad spectrum of interested parties
  • Superior verbal communication skills, enabling the role holder to swiftly and effectively convey the impact of IT incidents and summarize complex technical recovery actions
  • The ability to continually demonstrate analytical capabilities that allow the role holder to rapidly comprehend complex situations, constructively and appropriately challenge recovery decisions to optimize recovery timelines
  • Proficient facilitation skills are necessary to coordinate virtual teams conducting recovery actions in high-pressure situations, adhering to processes that ensure recovery is achieved as rapidly as possible, managing any associated risks and escalating to Executive Management teams when needed.
