A fast growing global payments Fintech company transforming the way businesses move and manage money globally is looking for a EU legal counsel. They have built a global financial infrastructure platform to help businesses transact, collect and pay across 130+ countries and 50+ currencies, without the constraints of the traditional global financial system. They have grown to 13 global locations and have raised over $800 million in funding. To support their ambitious growth plans, they're looking for smart, collaborative and passionate people who are looking to make a genuine impact.
Their legal team works cross-functionally and across multiple jurisdictions to create Legal strategies that facilitate the launch and growth of the company's products globally. The role is diverse as you will work across a variety of areas, primarily supporting growth activities in the UK and Europe.
You will advise on multiple matters such as GDPR, privacy and data security, regulations applicable to payments products offered in multiple jurisdictions including PSD2, open banking and e-money regulations.
Who are you:
- A keen interest in financial services regulation and the FinTech industry;
- 8+ year's legal experience, preferably in payments or financial services regulations and start up or FinTech experience is a plus;
- Ability to practice law in the UK or an EU country;
- Fluent in English
