Java Technical Architect - Hamburg / Remote - On Site twice a month (2 days)
Brand new role joining a successful software house with over a 100 technical specialists working on various projects for a range of clients. This is a remote role which would require you to be on site in their Hamburg office twice a month for a 2 day period.
The technical architect is responsible for the definition and further development of the technical architecture and ensures compliance by coordinating with the project management, the technical architect and the team leads from the EW and QA departments.
He supports the development teams by providing advice, coordinating tasks and taking over the lead for selected technical topics and sub-projects.
Tasks - Definition and further development of the technical architecture as well as an IT strategy
- Knowledge and consideration of the IT strategy
- Knowledge and consideration of the technical requirements
- Advising the project management as well as the team leads EW / QS regarding technical orientation and decisions
- Participation in release planning
- Extension and maintenance of the technical architecture documentation
- Participation in technical reviews
- Design and moderation of workshops
- Design and implementation of software development processes
- Leads technical topics (e.g. pilots, infrastructure topics) and sub-projects in technical and organisational terms
Required skills
- Methodical
- Technical Must-Have - Technical know-how in the areas of database, Java backend and JS frontend
- Several years of experience in technical architecture
- Several years of experience in the technical management of projects
- Experience in leading and moderating workshops
- Mastery of a method for defining and documenting architectures, preferably Arc42
