Security Engineer Responsibilities:
- Assume joint responsibility for the security environment, encompassing the operation, maintenance, and management of associated infrastructure, while monitoring its performance.
- Collaborate closely with the team to enhance the security environment in response to novel technical and organisational requirements, proactively overseeing the life cycle of security measures.
- Evaluate and authorise IT solutions, placing a strong emphasis on security considerations.
- Strategise and execute system changes, implementing customer orders while meticulously documenting the system environment, operational procedures, and security concepts.
- Display a willingness to explore emerging and existing technologies, charting a road map in coordination with various committees.
- Lead small and sub-projects within the dynamic security environment.
Security Engineer Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in network system security, penetration testing, SOC operations, and SIEM engineering.
- Proficiency in ArcSight, incident response, and other related technologies.
- Completion of an IT education program, complemented by several years of professional experience in the field of IT security.
- Profound knowledge of encryption mechanisms, key management, and digital identities.
- Solid understanding of operating systems and networks, enabling the implementation of encryption solutions on target systems. Familiarity with diverse database systems is advantageous.
- Ability to comprehend, systematise, document, and effectively communicate complex system dependencies to a diverse audience.
- Aptitude for quick comprehension and a strong motivation to stay abreast of relevant topics, consistently pursuing personal and professional development.
- Familiarity with integrating security solutions and executing local activities.
- Knowledge of the German language is advantageous, while fluency in English is essential.
