Cyber Security Engineer | 6 Months with likely 12 month extension | Zurich
Are you a highly skilled Security Engineer with experience in SOC, SIEM, and Security Engineering? Do you speak fluent English, ideally with some knowledge of German? We have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are seeking a talented Security Engineer to join our global insurance client in Zurich, Switzerland. As a key member of their team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the security of their organisation, ensuring the protection of sensitive data, and safeguarding against potential threats.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage Security Operations Centre (SOC) processes and procedures
- Utilise SIEM tools, including Azure Sentinel and ArcSight, to monitor and analyse security events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement security solutions
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation
- Respond to security incidents, perform forensic investigations, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging security technologies
Requirements:
- Strong experience in SOC, SIEM, and Security Engineering
- Fluent in English; German language skills are desirable
- Proven expertise with Azure Sentinel, ArcSight, and other SIEM tools
- Sound knowledge of security frameworks, such as ISO 27001 or NIST
- Familiarity with cloud security, particularly Azure and/or AWS
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Must be based in Switzerland
