Oliver James is partnered with a global investment bank with a large presence in Dublin to appoint a Senior Manager to their Internal Audit team within the European Headquarters.
This position will focus on the continuous contribution of the success of Internal Audit locally by effectively executing individual goals, plans, and initiatives in alignment with team strategies. A primary focus is placed on ensuring meticulous compliance with regulations and internal policies.
You day-to-day will look like but not be limited to the following duties;
- Champions a customer-centric culture, aiming to enhance client relationships and leverage broader Bank connections.
- Leads the planning, execution, and reporting of assigned audit projects.
- Manages the entire audit process, ensuring the production of high-quality work papers and timely communication of control weaknesses and recommendations to management.
- Conducts specific projects or investigations and adeptly manages self-development and team operations.
- Independently executes and manages assigned activities, ensuring testing aligns seamlessly with audit objectives. Proposes changes to the audit scope based on initial findings.
- Executes specific projects or investigations as directed by management. Assists with the Quality Assurance Program and contributes to peer review processes
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes;
- Brings extensive internal audit experience in financial institutions, with a focus on capital markets. Shows a deep understanding of the Irish and EU regulatory environment.
- Possesses highly proficient skills in risk-based auditing.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of global audit units and regulatory environments.
- Effectively supervises multiple projects simultaneously.
- Displays strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exhibits exceptional people management and coaching skills.
- Demonstrates analytical prowess and proficiency in the use of data analytics tools.
- Holds an undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent.
