For our client, we are looking for an Infrastructure Officer who will get the opportunity to develop their career in the Health Sector.
🏢 Infrastructure Officer - The Job:
You manage the infrastructure that is hosted externally by our hosting partner:
You keep, together with our Enterprise Architect and our hosting partner, the domain up-to-date (schematics, documentation) up to application level;
You ensure that the servers are set up optimally and you look for points of improvement with regard to back-ups, disk capacity, etc.
You keep a close eye on the market and suggest improvements;
You determine the strategy concerning availability management (high availability);
You ensure that the fail-over system works faultlessly (testing);
Together with our service manager, you keep an eye on the service levels of our partner and make adjustments where necessary.
You are the contact person for the Operations Team in case of complex infra-issues of the data providers and help in finding solutions.
You are responsible for the CMDB and Asset management :
You will manage and be responsible for the configuration management and asset management processes;
Define and maintain the management configuration process. In this context, you are responsible for maintaining the quality of the CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and the information required for communicating it to our customers;
Define and maintain the process for asset management, i.e. the management of assets throughout their life cycle;
You will ensure that all software used is covered by a licence, you will monitor the use of these licences by anticipating certain purchases;
Certificate management: setting up and maintaining a certificate calendar (ServiceNow) and ensuring that certificates are renewed prior to expiry.
🏢 Infrastructure Officer - The Profile:
Technical skills and experience
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/ Software Engineering / Computer Engineering or related equivalent IT field preferred;
Ability to troubleshoot & resolve technical issues at the desktop, network, and business applications;
Ability to apply knowledge and experience in troubleshooting issues and liaise with the Team Lead Services and Support to escalate and resolve collaboratively;
You are familiar with the collection of metrics about IT components and report them accordingly;
Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB is a big asset;
Familiar with the processes that consume CMDB data e.g. Incident, Problem, SDLC, Asset, and Change;
Strong knowledge of supporting Windows, Office 365, Adobe, and other common business applications.
Have knowledge of technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization (VMware 6 and 7);
Demonstrated ability in Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP and other core network protocols.
Have an understanding of infrastructure and application security
Experience with Backup Management (Symantec Backup Exec or any similar backup application)
Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
Good command of English

Candidate must be resident of a European Economic Area country;
Candidate must be able to be present at office (Brussels) for a minimum of 2 days a week.
