Head of Tax Operations

Key Responsibilities:
Lead tax operations for all US entities, ensuring accurate and timely compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
Oversee tax accounting under IFRS, US GAAP, Solvency II, and statutory frameworks in coordination with auditors.
Support global tax strategy and transformation initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Tax Advisory.
Drive the implementation of tax technology to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
Manage quarterly forecasts, annual planning processes, and inter-company settlements within the US tax group.
Lead communication of tax strategy and implications to senior stakeholders.
Oversee responses to tax audits and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities.
Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place for income tax reporting.
Lead efforts on Pillar II reporting and implications under global accounting tax guidelines.
Develop internal education programs to enhance organizational understanding of tax reform impacts.
Key Skills:
Bachelor's in Accounting (CPA required); Master's in Tax or MBA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 15 years' experience in tax, including leadership roles within public accounting or the insurance industry.
Proven success managing tax functions for multinational insurance/reinsurance companies.
Deep expertise in US federal and state corporate tax, sales tax compliance, and tax planning.
Strategic mindset with hands-on leadership style and ability to influence at all levels.
Strong communication skills, able to simplify complex tax matters for non-tax audiences.
Experience managing tax systems and reporting tools.
Highly organized with excellent project management and deadline-driven execution.
