Head of Group Financial Reporting - Insurance Client
Oliver James has been exclusively engaged to recruit the above mentioned role for a technology-fueled insurance client. Our client is redefining the industry and the way insurers provide risk to their customer base.
This role will report into the Group Financial Controller and will play a pivotal role in the oversight of US GAAP financial statement preparation and review, plus additional work in regards to building a state of the art internal control framework.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the external reporting function and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate the audit process
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve financial reporting processes
- Stay updated with the latest changes in accounting standards and regulations
- Provide guidance and support to team members on technical accounting issues
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
Key qualifications:
- Proven experience in preparing or reviewing GAAP financial statements
- Experience auditing insurance clients would be highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
The compensation on offer varies greatly based on candidate experience. The base salary ranges from 160-200k with bonus potential.
