FP&A Manager in Amsterdam


The opportunity

The Finance team is responsible for accelerating the growth of the business by identifying and implementing new opportunities and solutions. The FP&A Manager for EMEA will function as a key member of the finance team and be responsible for providing decision support for senior management through ad hoc analysis on a project basis and preparing periodic financial statements, analysis and metrics reporting. You will be responsible for consolidating the management reporting in EMEA and be the linking-pin towards the global finance team in the US. You will also be involved in identifying companywide strategic initiatives and execution to ensure success, monitoring company performance and participating in the month-end close.

You will…

  • Be reporting directly to the Head of Finance, Europe. You will be the only FP&A person in Europe and part of the finance team in Europe (10+ FTE)
  • Work within the corporate FP&A team and you will be the primary Finance point of contact for EMEA wide topics
  • Responsible for EMEA consolidation in 4 countries (and growing), monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting
  • Support in budgeting/forecasting, performance management, financial reporting, headcount management, reviews of key financial metrics, strategic decision making, business reviews and ad hoc analysis of financial metrics
  • Lead nearer term improvements to existing financial planning cycles and longer term redesign of product forecasting and financial analysis to support a matrixed organization
  • Support on the annual and long term planning, forecast, and monthly reporting for flexport EMEA. Including assisting senior leadership in EMEA to identify strategic initiatives and coordinate projects to address these opportunities / risks
  • Support the G&A teams with budgeting, performance management, strategic footprint planning and ad hoc requests as needed
  • Develop ad-hoc reports and analysis to support strategic planning as needed

Your profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
  • 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in FP&A in complex business environments, business strategy (consulting) or ex Big-4
  • Have a broad business view, high degree of curiosity and ability to view the business and solve problems with an executive mindset
  • Strong financial modelling and MS Excel skills required
  • High attention to detail and accuracy and strong analytical skills required
  • Proactive, self-motivated, can work autonomously and take initiative to learn
  • Prior experience using SQL and Adaptive Insights is a plus
