Job Title: Financial Reporting Manager
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £65,000-75,000 plus 15% bonus, pension & additional company benefits
Location: Dorking based (2 days in office per week/3 days home working)
The Role:
- Leading a team of 6, this role is responsible for providing reports, analysis and commentary against monthly performance
- Provide review and control of monthly management information (key reports and analysis) to the Chief Financial Officer, Financial Controller and Group Finance across all accounting bases (US GAAP, UK GAAP and Solvency II)
- Provide accounting technical support under all reporting bases to our strategic projects, including significant transactions and growth of the business
- Plan, manage & control key monthly reconciliations of the reported financial information under all reporting bases
- Provide direction and initiative to ensure key controls (Sarbanes-Oxley) and internal/external audit requirements are maintained and developed
- Plan, manage & control the team's resource issues, training and development needs, including your own. Ensure appropriate training & coaching plans are in place. Provide the team with strong leadership
The Candidate:
- Qualified accountant with substantial PQE (ideally ACA, ACCA)
- Insurance industry experience essential
- Knowledgeable on either IFRS, UK GAAP or US GAAP (US GAAP highly advantageous)
- Experience of managing small teams (preferable)
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) is important to ensure that all interested parties are kept up to date with reporting issues, key drivers of the results and variances between current and comparative periods
