Our client is a leading ship leasing company, committed to delivering innovative financing solutions within the maritime industry. As they continue to expand their operations and streamline financial processes, they are looking for a highly skilled Financial Controller to join the team and play a key role in shaping the future of their finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the finance and accounting functions of the business.
- Coordinate with the Cyprus-based accounting team for back-office financial support and ensure a smooth transition of these functions to Singapore.
- Establish and implement accounting systems, processes, and controls within the business.
- Lead the recruitment and management of the finance team in Singapore.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure alignment of financial strategies with overall business goals.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller with a strong background in financial management and accounting.
- Experience dealing with loan or finance accounting is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in establishing accounting systems and processes, with a track record of building finance functions from the ground up.
- Knowledge of the shipping sector is beneficial but not required.
- Singaporean national preferred.
- Based in Singapore with minimal travel requirements (1-2 trips per year to Cyprus).
