Role & Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be entrusted with the responsibilities to:
- Implement and maintain the infrastructure and systems needed for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and cloud-based technologies.
- Build and deploy automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions.
- Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes.
- Actively participate in the integration of information technology systems to meet the company's goals.
- Work directly with the development and technical teams to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve.
Key Skills
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- Proficiency in cloud services such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins for orchestration and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment workflows.
- Substantial knowledge in both scripting and object oriented language programming.
- Expertise in infrastructure as code (for example Terraform, Cloudformation).
- Proven ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
- Capability to handle multi-tasking situations and priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
This contract position offers a vibrant and collaborative working environment within a highly dynamic team. This role is a fully onsite position based in a Dublin city centre office. You must be willing to be on site full time.
