Our client are keen to speak to UK data migration candidates with a view to joining their broader technology & data analytics capability.

Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK on a partially remote / hybrid arrangement.

On offer, is a basic salary is up to circa £90-95,000 depending on experience excluding bonuses, pension, flexible working, cash allowance, car etc.

Expectations of the role:

  • The new hire will be accountable for the high quality and timely delivery of data migrations as part of transformation and system implementation programmes. This incorporates the creation and maintenance of a data migration strategy and plan, and management of the data migration team (onshore and offshore) to ensure the complete and accurate migration of data across programme timelines. The following key activities form a core part of the role leading teams around data migration:
  • Understand how the data is used within the target platform and across the enterprise application landscape to assess and manage the implications for data migration both from a technology and a business perspective.
  • Coordinate between programme workstream leads to ensure data migration risks, issues and dependencies are proactively managed.
  • Oversee and manage onshore and offshore teams to ensure the effective definition and configuration of data migration tooling
  • Act as a point of escalation for issues associated with data during the design, build and test phases of the wider programme.

Essential and Desirable skills needed:

  • Experience working in data workstreams where migration and MDM delivery have been core components is essential.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of data management principles.
  • Ability to analyse and understand complex data.
  • Ability to identify, clarify, and appropriately resolve, or escalate issues and risks.
  • Proven experience of leading onshore and offshore teams.
  • Experience with 'data migration' programmes or master data management and not just technology or software implementations.
  • Knowledge of MDM tooling and experience in delivering associated programmes will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Azure ecosystem, SQL Databases, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau etc.) will be an added advantage
