About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Expert to join their dynamic team on a freelance contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance, with proficiency in French or Dutch, and English. Experience with Collibra is highly desirable. The selected expert will work closely with our client to develop, implement, and manage data governance frameworks and ensure the accuracy, quality, and security of their data assets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive data governance strategies and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with data governance regulations and best practices.
- Conduct data quality assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on data governance practices.
- Utilize Collibra for data governance tasks, including data cataloging, lineage, and stewardship.
- Monitor and report on data governance metrics and performance indicators.
- Support data governance initiatives and projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in French or Dutch, and English (both written and spoken).
- Proven experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and regulations.
- Hands-on experience with data governance tools, particularly Collibra, is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Certification in data governance or related fields.
- Previous experience in a freelance or contract role.
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations.
