As a Data Engineer specializing in Azure Synapse, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data pipelines and analytics solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions on the Azure Synapse platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud technologies, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient data models.
- Implement data integration solutions to ingest data from various sources including databases, streaming platforms, and third-party APIs.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability to ensure timely delivery of insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment, monitoring, and management of Azure Synapse environments.
- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting of data pipelines to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on cloud-based platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly Azure SQL Data Warehouse) and related Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Blob Storage.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and ETL best practices.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Spark or PowerShell for automation and orchestration.
