Data Analyst
Oliver James have been appointed to recruit for a Data Analyst for a Insurance organisation to join their Central Data Centre of Excellence team to gather, analyse, and interpret complex data sets to inform business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- To help to build data models, and use these models to generate visualisations, providing valuable insights into business performance
- Develop a centralise data model
- Develop Power BI visualisations and reports
- Collect, analyse and interpret complex data sets for various sources
- Identify opportunities for process improvement based on data analysis
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide solutions to requirements
- Develop and maintain centralised data models that support visualisation and reporting assets
Skills & Experience:
- 2-3 years experience in data analysis or related field
- Experience using Power BI, SSRS, DAX
- Experience and knowledge of SQL and data modelling concepts (Tabular)
- Familar with Azure analysis services or other OLAP tools
- Understanding of Dimensional Modelling approaches (e.g. Kimball & Inmon)
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
