Oliver James are mandated by their FTSE-listed cyber & assurance professional services client to assist in the recruitment of an experienced Cyber Security Account Manager to join their team. The role can be UK-wide remotely based - eventually moving to a blend between remote, client and office based, when needed. This is a c£110-120k package based on a basic salary / sales commission split.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed team within our client; focussing on Legal & Professional Services clients. As an Account Manager Manager you will be expected to engage with clients in those sectors; actively contribute to the sector strategy, as well as running of your pipeline; you'll be given the trust, freedom and support to work in a way that suits you best.


The Challenge

As an experienced Cyber Security Account Manager, you'll ideally bring;

1) A demonstrable track record of technology / cyber consultancy sales. These will be from established or newly formed client relationships where you have identified, nurtured and closed the sales cycles through typical challenges found within professional services.

2) A knowledge of cyber security. You will be aware, and sold, a broad portfolio of cyber services - including one or more of the following; cyber risk, governance, strategy, transformation, identity (IAM / PAM), penetration testing, threat & intel, incident & response, resilience etc. These relationships will typically have been held with CISOs, Heads of InfoSec, CTOs, CIOs.

3) Desirable not essential - A working knowledge of the UK legal and professional services (system integrator, Big-4, vendor) sectors.


As well as experience in:

  • Experience engaging at a senior level to understand client requirements, developing long term relationships, and understanding the sector and its trends

  • Demonstrable experience in working as part of a high-performing consultative Sales team, and consistent delivery of growth targets and objectives

  • Commercial creativity and the ability to develop innovative and high-value business models with clients
