A well known Chicago based Private Equity Manager is launching new debt and credit funds. Due to the expansion and growth, they have partnered with us to hire a Fund Controller to join their team and report directly to the CAO and CFO. Compensation and benefits are extremely competitive.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and shape fund accounting processes within new fund launch.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations of investment funds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
- Act as a key liaison with third-party administrators and investors, addressing inquiries and ensuring transparent communication.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, coordinating with auditors as necessary.
- Lead a team of individuals, providing mentorship and guidance in their roles.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function, staying informed on industry developments and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in fund accounting or financial reporting within the private debt/credit industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
