A global insurance carrier is looking to hire a Claims Director for their Medical Malpractice team. In this senior technical role you will be responsible for a caseload of complex medical malpractice claims arising from wide ranging medical professions. Claims will range from $25,000 to $500,000 in value and involve complex litigation and coverage analysis. You will also manage key client relationships and provide technical oversight for more junior claims examiners.
Key/Skills Experience Required:
- 5+ years medical malpractice claims experience gained within insurance
- Exposure to wide ranging, complex medical malpractice claims (
- Exposure to other medical / health care E&O or life sciences claims beneficial
- Exposure to litigation and complex coverage investigation essential
- Exceptional customer service capability. Excellent relationship management capability
- Bachelors Degree essential. JD preferred but not essential
This role is on a hybrid schedule from NYC, NJ, IL, CT, TX or GA (3 days in office/2 days remote) with an excellent salary up of $140,000-$160,000 + 15% on-target annual bonus, along with excellent benefits and a clear career path for the future.
