Our client, a family office firm, is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their growing firm in Downtown Chicago. They manage a single family's capital and invest across a diverse set of asset classes focusing on Private Equity, Real Estate & Venture Capital. As a small firm, there will be tremendous exposure & collaboration across the team.
Location: Downtown Chicago, IL (In office 4 days a week)
Salary: 60k-80k
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete financial administration for a single-family client
- Responsible for bookkeeping, check writing, and QuickBooks data entry
- Review financial statements & invoices for accuracy
- Preform credit card and bank statement reconciliations
- Arrange annual budgets & expense reports
- Assemble information for tax returns
- Coordinate with Controller & team to manage cash balances
- Handle personal property insurance as well as personal property database
Requirements include:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in working with QuickBooks accounting software
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
- Quick learner, great organization & attention to detail
- Effective communicator both with verbal & written communication
- Has an enthusiastic & positive attitude
