We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biostatistician. As a Biostatistician, you will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and interpretation of data related to biological and medical research. Your expertise will contribute to evidence-based decision-making, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of statistical methods in various research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with researchers and interdisciplinary teams to understand study objectives and design appropriate statistical methodologies.
- Develop and implement statistical analysis plans for clinical trials, observational studies, and other research projects.
- Perform data analysis using advanced statistical techniques to draw meaningful conclusions and provide insights into biological and medical phenomena.
- Conduct sample size calculations and power analyses to optimise study designs.
- Validate and clean data sets to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Interpret and communicate statistical findings to non-statistical audiences, fostering a clear understanding of study results.
- Stay current with advancements in statistical methodologies and contribute to the improvement of statistical processes within the organisation.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5 years of proven experience in statistical analysis within a biomedical or clinical research setting.
- Proficiency in statistical software with SAS, R and python and a strong understanding of statistical methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex statistical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with large and complex data sets.
