Oliver James is working with a leading specialty P&C insurance carrier seeking to hire a Technical Lead (AVP) within its US Casualty Claims Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating and managing high-profile, complex casualty claims, including product liability, bodily injury, and commercial general liability (CGL) claims. This position involves handling long-tail bodily injury and property damage exposures, class action and public nuisance litigation, infectious disease claims, and claims arising under Primary/Excess CGL policies. This is a highly technical role requiring expert analysis of liability, coverage, and litigation strategy while collaborating with internal teams and external defense counsel.
Key Skills/Experience Required:
8-10+ years of experience handling complex Excess and Primary Casualty Claims, including product liability and bodily injury claims.
Proven expertise in coverage analysis and litigation management for high-value claims, including class action and public nuisance litigation.
Adjuster Licenses in multiple US states
This role is based in a hybrid or office-based environment in Jersey City, NJ or Rocky Hill, CT with a competitive salary of up to $155,000 plus a 20% annual bonus.
