Oliver James are partnered with a leading, global reinsurer who are seeking an AVP Pricing Actuary to join a truly strategic team covering US business. With a focus on Medical Stop Loss and other health products, you will be responsible for pricing, underwriting and analysis of new and renewal business.
Collaborating with senior leaders, you will monitor financial results, presenting products and services to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Managing new and current business for health products
- Pricing, underwriting and business analysis for Medical Stop Loss market and assist the VP in pricing of other health products
- Monitor financial results through profitability and renewals
- Set reserves for Medical Stop Loss and other product lines
- Work closely with risk management and other business areas to maintain processes and compliance
- Prepare and present analysis to internal and external stakeholders on product performance
- Manage a small team of health actuaries
Experience required:
- FSA or near FSA designation
- Min. 8+ years of actuarial experience in health insurance or health reinsurance
- Product knowledge in both Group and Individual Health products such as Commercial, Medicare, ACOs
- Experience with Medical Stop Loss products
