On behalf of our client , who is an internation insurer. Oliver James are recruiting for a permanent role within the syndicate side of this business.

The role is titled 'Assistant Syndicate Accountant' and you will get exposure to the following should you be successful in this process.

  • Production, Maintenance , Reconciliation and analysis of the accounting ledger for the three managed Lloyds syndicates.
  • Supporting the wider team with financial analytics and assisting in internal and external reporting for the syndicates.
  • You will also be involved in key fiancé projects such as IFRS 17 and other ad hoc projects across the finance function.
  • You will be working closely with other areas of the business , including Regulatory Reporting, Solvency II , Actuarial , Claims, Group Finance , Treasury and Investments.

To be considered for this position you must have the majority of the skills and attributes below.

  • You do NOT need to be a fully qualified accountant , but it is desirable that you have started your qualification. If not , then you must have a relevant degree.
  • Have a knowledge of insurance accounting.
  • Pay excellent attention to detail.
  • A high level of Excel skills.
  • A strong communicator and personable skills.
  • Be motivated with the mindset for learning.
